On my short list of albums of the year. Such an incredibly unique record! Dubby, film noir jazz with hints of post-punk. An avant garde affair, to be sure, but not out of reach for those with an open mind. Highly recommended. Charlie

Been exploring loads of early quasi-fourth world, ethnomusicologist, earthier forms of musique-concreté, and The Loa of Music (1983) is such a standout record. Musci's reverence towards the traditional music of Loas is evident with his very real field recordings, gentle arrangements and subtle additions. Musci adds just enough to give it a bit of his style and musicality, while still feeling very authentic. Lost Tribe Sound
